Shoaib Malik trusts his team has a very good chance of winning the 2019 World Cup, which will be held in England and Wales. Although, the veteran said it will only be possible if his side accomplishes well against the rest of the world. However, Malik cleared it out that this achievement will only be possible if they perform well against the rest of the world in the mega event. Malik further stated that the current Pakistan squad has all the ability to win the World Cup, but added that abilities don’t win anyone matches.

How we play each game and how we perform against the rest of the world will define how far we go. Yes, we have the ability to win the World Cup hands-down, but abilities don’t win you anything, performances do. Our capabilities include having top ODI bowlers and batsmen in our line-up and personally I’m looking forward to a memorable World Cup 2019,” Malik said.

Pakistan is set to play their first World Cup 2019 match in contradiction of West Indies on May 31 at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

Srikkanth Support Dhoni for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

Former Indian opening batsman wishes the selectors to pick MS Dhoni in India’s World Cup team. Former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Dhoni has assuredly got the views coming on his side after him scoring two half-centuries in as many matches in the current series against Australia. In two matches, Dhoni has scored 106 runs at an average of 106 and a strike rate of 70.66. While Dhoni and the Indian would be wanting the strike rate to go high, observing him back amongst the runs is a development in the right way. The fact that his last half-century before this series had come in contradiction of Sri Lanka at Dharamsala 13 months ago calls for sufficient respite among his co-players.

“If I was the chairman of the selection committee, I would pick him for the 2019 World Cup for sure. The World Cup is a different cup of the tea altogether, where we will need a senior cricketer like him. He’ll be a guiding factor on the field to the captain and the team. His importance will be felt in crunch situations. He may not be the big hitter he was before…that’s a different issue, but he’s still got it in him,” Srikkanth said.

England, India & New Zealand are World Cup Favourites – Rob Key

England, India and New Zealand are the expected to win the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, according to prior England batsman Rob Key. The sides are ranked 1, 2 and 3 in the MRF Tyres ICC ODI Team Rankings correspondingly, and Key sees them as the three sides to beat this summer. While India have lifted the World Cup on two times, England and New Zealand are still racing for a first World Cup title, finishing runners-up on four times combined, three for England and one for New Zealand. England have been considered by many as favourites as they head into a home World Cup, but it’s the acts of 2015 runners-up, New Zealand, that has got Key’s devotion.

Cricket World Cup Final Tickets

“You will never go into a World Cup where someone isn’t tipping up New Zealand as an outside chance. This time they will be behind England and India in the betting but not far behind,” Key told Sky Sports.

In spite of the loss of veterans Brendon McCullum and Daniel Vettori to retirement, New Zealand have engaged the key members of the side that led them to their first Men’s World Cup Final four years ago. Key trusts their star-studded line-up can mix it with the best at CWC19.

“We always say that they punch above their weight, yet we always tip them to do well and they have some top players – Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Martin Guptill, Tim Southee, Trent Boult.

“They are an excellent side in their own right. If they have a day out, they can beat England, India, anyone.

“They have been a strong outfit for a long time in one-day cricket and are a side you are always wary of, no matter how good your form may be.”

Expect Roughly the Same Squad for World Cup 2019 – Rohit Sharma

Indian cricket team’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma, on Thursday (January 10), stated that India’s squad for the Cricket World Cup 2019 has pretty much been marked in, and will more or less have a comparable look to the one that’s in action for the Australia ODIs. Though, he did point that the usual warnings of form and fitness will be taken into thought, and that “nobody is guaranteed that flight to England as yet”.

India Cricket World Cup Tickets - Rohit Sharma

“I think the 13 ODIs we’re going to be playing leading up to the World Cup, you’re going to see more or less the same squad playing in the World Cup,” Rohit told reporters in Sydney. “Probably one or two changes, keeping in mind the form and injury concerns over the next few months. We’ve played a lot of cricket throughout the year, so injuries are bound to happen. Don’t think there’ll be any drastic change. Looking at the slots – they’re pretty much taken by individuals. Everything will depend on the form of each player, nobody is guaranteed that flight to England.

“It’s slightly early to be talking about the playing XI. But there aren’t going to be any drastic changes We still have 13 games, 4-5 months to go and two months of IPL. Lot of cricket to be played. So, it’s hard to name the 11 or 12 that’ll be playing the World Cup.”

On the way to World Cup 2019, India will contest a total of 13 ODIs, beginning with the three in contradiction of Australia, starting Saturday (January 12) in Sydney.

Detailed Analysis of India’s Team for Cricket World Cup 2019

The Indian cricket team is setting the Australian pitches on fire with a striking already display. They have already reserved the Border-Gavaskar trophy by taking a 2-1 lead and are very well on their way to becoming one of the few Asian sides to win a test series against Australia, in Australia. Last year they took Asia, winning the 2018 Asian Cup with aplomb.

India Cricket World Cup

It may seem amazing that only three players can really walk into the Indian ODI side for the cricket world cup deprived of question as of today: Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rohit Sharma.
Kohli can debatably be considered as the best batsman in modern cricket and thus becomes an automatic choice.

Bumrah has, of late, demonstrated to be an asset for his team and a deadly weapon, especially in the death overs. He has proved to be equally actual in foreign conditions with his excellent performance in England and Australia. Bumrah even scalped 9 wickets against the Aussies to help India take a 2-1 lead in the third test. He thus becomes a no-brainer in the choice.

CWC 2019

Rohit Sharma is the third Indian player that has virtually complete his place in the starting XI. He can single-handedly take games away from the hostility with the bat alone. Once he settles down in the innings, expect no less than big hundreds to flow from his bat.

Anamul Haque dreaming to appear in CWC 2019

Bangladesh opener Anamul Haque says it is his ‘dream’ to play at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales.

Haque made three entrances for Bangladesh at the 2015 World Cup, making scores of 29 against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka respectively, before an injury which cut short his tournament.

Though, he found himself out of Bangladesh’s one-day international side for nearly three years after the tournament, before returning in March 2018.

Further chance came against the Windies in July, but he couldn’t make them count, amassing 33 runs in his three innings.

In spite of being left out of the team since that series, he is still doing all he can to book his spot in Bangladesh’s 2019 World Cup squad.

CWC 2019

“I definitely want to play the World Cup,” Haque told cricfrenzy.com.

“In my breath, in my every endeavour, in my net session, gym session, I think to play the 2019 World Cup. To materialize the hope, I will do every possible thing.”

“I made a comeback with the series against West Indies but I couldn’t do well,” he added.

“I was dropped from the team but since then every match is a preparation for me for the World Cup, be it NCL [or] BCL, and so every match of the BPL or if I play any one-day match after the BPL will be like a preparation match for me for the World Cup.

“I will make myself ready always. That’s why every match is important for me.”
