Sarfaraz to lead Pakistan Team in Cricket World Cup, Confirms PCB Chairman

Responding to a question about Sarfaraz captaincy, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani on Wednesday said that he will lead Pakistan’s cricket team throughout the World Cup 2019.
Talking to media, the PCB Chairman said: “There is no debate about the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed and every time it is formed by the media itself. The Chairman further said: “He is captain of Pakistan. He has no constraint and no terms. He is a great choice and this debate around Sarfraz’s captaincy is bent by the press.”

When enquired if Sarfraz will continue as captain till World Cup 2019, the chairman replied, “Yes.”

Ehsan Mani also complete that the final match of the imminent fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019 will be held in Karachi. Last year’s last was also played at National Stadium Karachi, where Islamabad United beaten Peshawar Zalmi to win the title for another time.
