Manchester City’s hopes of Quadruple or Treble still Alive

Chances of winning a quadruple are very much on for Manchester City, in this season. They have already won League Cup, also called EFL Cup or Carabao Cup. Sky Blues are in the semi finals of the FA Cup. They are just two points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League. Man City have reached in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League. They have claimed one title already, while three are on offer.

FA Cup trophy seems destiny for Manchester City as rivals are a bit mediocre teams. They will face Brighton & Hove Albion in the semi-final of the FA Cup 2018-19 edition. Match will take place at London’s Wembley Stadium on 6th April 2019. Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers will lock horns in other semi. Final of the FA Cup will be played on 18th May 2019 at Wembley Stadium in London.

UEFA Champions League lineup for quarter finals of the 2018-19 season is complete. Four English sides have progressed to UCL quarter finals after ten years. Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur will clash in the quarter-final of UCL. London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host the first tie on 9th April 2019. City of Manchester Stadium will be venue for second tie on 17th April 2019. Manchester United and Liverpool are other two teams who have made to last eight of the UCL. Ajax, Barcelona, Juventus and Porto are other four sides in UCL quarter finals. Manchester City will target to earn their maiden UEFA Champions League title now.

Completing a quadruple in club football history is a major honour. Even bagging a Treble in club soccer tournaments in considered a distinction. These honours are quite rare in English football and are highly sought after. Experts reckon that Manchester City have a strong case of claiming a quadruple in this season. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has downplayed it, but is equally confident about their performance.
