Rumors have been expressed about Kobe Steelers, the leading Japanese champion. who was running after his authorization, which would bring him closer to former Rugby World Cup winner All Blacks.

After the leaders, 56-20 win against the Bulls in Pretoria this weekend, Retallick hinted that his future was with the All Blacks.

“I have been in the All Blacks for a while and it’s great. Being part of the All Blacks has always been one of my goals. And as the Rugby World Cup takes place at the end of the year in Japan, it’s pretty cool.”

Retallick thought for the moment it was his first win of the year in South Africa after a five-game winless streak. However, he was aware of the excessive loss of talent and experience. All blacks had to concede at the end of the year.

Captain Kieran Read’s withdrawal was particularly penalizing. But, Retallick was confident that the All Blacks would be able to find a suitable replacement.

“Kieran has been around for a long time and is certainly both a great player and a good leader, so there will definitely be a void there,” he said.

“I’m sure some young boys already want to be in the jersey when Kieran and a few others choose to compete in the Rugby World Cup 2019.”
